GOD BLESS AMERICA, LAND THAT I LOVE

This is a Tribute to our men and women in uniform; because of them, we enjoy our freedom.  May we never forget them and the sacrifices they have made and continue to make for us.  May we keep them and their families forever in our prayers.

Music from "Ballads of Honor"
Words by Frankie Gross Sang by John Carpino
               Stand up For Freedom

Well, comon everybody clap your hands
If you stand for Freedom
Let me see you stand
If you love this country
and I know that you do
Stand up for the Red, White, and Blue.

In this United Nation
Sometimes we disagree
But when they attack one of us
They attack our family
Our freedom didn't come easy
We lost a lot of friends in the race,
But for every one that was taken down
A thousand more took their place

So, comon everybody clap your hands
If you stand for Freedom
Let me see you stand
If you love this country
and I know that you do
Stand up for the Red, White, and Blue.

We come in a lot of different colors
We worship in a lot of different ways
But I know the good Lord was proud of us
When we stood together on that day
He took a lot of people home with him
And I know that you've been told,
How flight 93 claimed victory
So comon everybody let's roll

(Words and music by Velma Ritchie Anderson)
I wrote this song when 911 happened.  I felt so helpless, and I had to do something to let it be known that we will stand together, we will overcome. It was hard to write and I became choked up on evey line.  We are one. We are the U.S.A., the greatest country in the world.
Frankie Gross is a World War II survivor.  I met thim via the internet and exchanged cd's with him.
His song "Diamonds in the Sky" is the true story of his experience of war at Christmas time.  I am so glad he lived to relate all of his heartfelt songs to us. I know our Armed Forces today would totally identify with him.
